Rates
30 minutes: $ 25
45 minutes: $ 35
1 hour: $ 45
Tuition and Billing
Tuition is due thirty (14) days prior to the start of the semester. If payment is not made 14 days in advance of the start of the semester, the student’s reservation for the semester will be cancelled, and the reservation fee will be forfeited to the studio. Tuition may be paid on a monthly or weekly basis. If paid monthly, please make the payments to the studio at least during the first week of the month. Weekly payments must be received before the scheduled lesson. The studio accepts: credit and debit cards and checks. No cash accepted. There is a $ 30 fee on all returned checks. The return check fee plus the original payment must be received by the studio before any further lessons will be provided.
Makeup Lessons
The studio does not provide refunds or credits for lessons missed by a student for any reason. The studio does provide one make-up lesson slot per week which is available on a first come, first serve basis. If a student provides at least 24 hours advanced notice of an absence, and if the make-up slot is available, the student will be offered the opportunity to make-up the lessons. If the time is not convenient for the student or if the make-up slot has already been filled for the week, no make-up lessons will be provided.
Attendance
- Please have the student arrive at least five minutes prior to the start of the lesson.
- Parents are encouraged to accompany their children during the lessons.
- If a student is late more than 10 minutes, lessons will be cancelled, and no refund will be made for student.
- Absence due to illness or family emergencies must be report to the studio and we will make every opportunity to reschedule the lesson at convenience time, but we can
no guaranty that each missed lesson will be made up.
Discontinuing Lessons
The studio can discontinue the lessons with a student in the case of:
- Consistent late payments
- Lack of motivation and progress
- Failure to abide by studio policy
- Continual misbehavior
- Inappropriate or disrespectful behavior towards studio’s teachers and employees
Practicing Requirements
- Students are expected to practice 6 days a week.
- Beginners’ students are expected to practice at least 1 hour a day.
- Intermediate and advanced students are expected to practice 3 to 6 hours a day.
- Parents should ensure that the student is given a quiet practice area.
- Parents should monitor practices and ensure that all of the assignments given to the student are completed.
Miscellaneous Policies
- All materials are provided to a student by the studio.
- Food and drink are not permitted in the studio. Students are also prohibited from chewing gum while in the studio.
- Students must wash their hands after coming into the studio.
- The studio encourages parents to attend and quietly observe lessons for their children. The studio reserve the right to exclude a parent if a teacher determines that the parent’s presence is disturbing the child or impeding his or her progress.
- The studio holds one recital at the end of each semester. The recital schedule will be announced at the beginning of each semester. Students will be assigned a recital piece early in the semester and are expected to play the piece by memory at the recital.
